Episode 39: Millie Gooch - Sober Girls Society
For those of us born before the year 2000, a boozy drinking session has been a huge part of the british culture, but According to the alcohol education charity Drinkaware, after the surge of alcohol consumption during lockdown, there has been a general decline in drinking: older people are still most likely to drink, while those least likely to drink are aged 16 to 24, with 26% of that age group fully teetotal.
Millie Gooch is the founder of the Sober Girl Society and is one of the voices leading the sobriety movement in the UK.
After years of partying and hangovers, Millie realised that her relationship with booze had started taking a toll on her mental health, and has been sober since February 2018.
